A couple of years ago I was looking for a hobby. Since I'm a stay-at-home-mom, I needed something to do after I put my boys to bed at night instead of watching trash TV and eating junk food. Lol. So, I thought I'd give candle making a shot. I bought all the necessary wax melting materials along with many pretty little glass candle holders.  The first night I tried it out, as I'm standing in the middle of my kitchen by the hot stove, melting wax, I said to myself, "this is not me". It was too boring for me and just like often throughout the day, I was still in the kitchen. I needed to do something different that was more challenging, creative and most importantly personalized. That's when my always very supportive hubby recommended that I try glass etching. Without giving it too much thought, I shot the idea down within seconds. About two weeks later, I'm walking through my local craft shop and I come across a very simple etching kit.  I said to myself, "ok, let me see what my hubby is talking about", so I bought the kit. After I brought it home, I took one of those pretty little glass candle holders and I etched my initial on it. I loved it! It looked great and the possibilities of styles, designs and what I can etch were endless. I knew right then and there that I had found my hobby and yes, my hubby gets credit for the whole idea. 
Since that moment my creative juices never stopped flowing and I have ventured into all kinds of crafty and unique designs and creations.  I thrive on creating new, personalized, one-of-a-kind items that you can't just pick up at an average store.
